RESPONSE
Lutsen maintains 24-hour emergency coverage, seven days a week, with a dedicated team of 18 volunteer firefighters. Whether responding to calls in residential neighborhoods or remote backcountry areas, our department is trained, equipped, and ready to serve. We take our responsibilities seriously, knowing that in this community, every second and every call matters.
The purpose of the Lutsen Fire Department shall be to preserve life and property in the township of Lutsen and surrounding areas through mutual aid request in case of fire and/or other emergencies; and to promote fire prevention and fire safety education.
